Our partners at AQUA+TECH are coordinating the encapsulation research for the Chicago Diabetes Project. They work with researchers to standardize the islet encapsulation process in order to bring it from research to full-scale production, compliant with all regulatory requirements.  The encapsulation process is an extremely important component of the Chicago Diabetes Project. Once successful, it will help us to transplant donor islets without the need for immunosuppressant drugs.
