Currently working toward a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Allan’s undergraduate degree from Milwaukee School of Engineering focused on design of environmental systems for commercial facilities. His thesis project includes the construction of a metabolic network to understand the interactions within the Islets of Langerhans. This network model will be built from data obtained from microarray experiments, flow cytometry, microfluidics, etc. as performed by the Research Team. The overall goal is an efficient prediction model for matching donor and recipient’s for optimal transplantation results.
