“Help the Chicago Diabetes Project out run diabetes! Join us for the Santa Speedo Run - the first ever in Chicago- on Saturday, December 12th.”
“Annie Hemmesch, a local Type 1 diabetic, recently learned about the Chicago Diabetes Project and created the Santa Speedo run in efforts to raise awareness and funds for the CDP. On December 12th, speedos and swimsuits are encouraged… snow pants, sweatshirts, and parkas completely acceptable! Wear your best costume underneath and at 1:00 pm, we will strip down to the Speedos and get our run on (1 mile down Rush St. and back up Michigan Ave.)! Please note while Speedos are encouraged, you don’t have to run or wear a Speedo...as long as its festive!”
