“I am working on the Chicago Diabetes Project as I had an opportunity to put in place a team of very able scientists and engineers who work together like a family. We are all in this together, quite simply, because we believe we can contribute to a clinical solution to this disease so that other families, with members suffering from diabetes, can lead a normal life.”

Runner’s from all over the world, including Dr. Oberholzer himself, will be running in the Chicago and New York marathons to raise money for the CDP . . .
Dear Friends,
Thanks for considering donating to the Chicago Diabetes Project, a global collaboration for a functional cure for diabetes. This will be my 5th Chicago Marathon and 2nd New York Marathon. I have the ambitious goal to run below 3 hours. This far, my personal best was 3 hours and 16 minutes and 42 seconds, which I just run at the 2009 Boston Marathon. Knowing that I run for an incredible team of researchers around the globe, all working together to functionally cure diabetes, running seems like the least I can do to raise money to support them.
All the best,
Dr. José Oberholzer
