Patsy Dine Carrane

Development Coordinator

Patsy Dine Carrane joined the Chicago Diabetes Project team in August of 2017. This program is near and dear to her heart since her nephew, Clayton, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2011, when he was just two years old. Patsy and her family are unequivocally committed to working alongside CDP to find a functional cure for this disease. In addition to Patsy’s industrious work with the Chicago Diabetes Project, she maintains a job as a Special Education Classroom Assistant within the Chicago Public Schools. This program provides educational, health and therapeutic services for children with physical and multiple disabilities between the ages of three and seven. Patsy works collaboratively with the staff to provide a protective environment where children with multiple disabilities can participate in a standard education program. Patsy’s work at CDP includes, but is not limited to, marketing, volunteer development, and event planning.

Patsy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary’s University in Minnesota. She continues to utilize her areas of expertise to collaborate on grant writing and organization to help grow the Chicago Diabetes Project and allow the organization to further its mission in finding a functional cure for the many millions afflicted with this disease.
