Zuzana Kroneková

PhD

Zuzana Kroneková, Senior researcher at the Polymer Institute, Slovak Academy of Sciences, Slovakia obtained her Master degree at Comenius University, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Bratislava, Slovakia and the PhD at the University of Technology, International Max-Planck Research School, Dresden, Germany. After the post-doctoral training at the Maria Curie Sklodowska Institute in Gliwice (Poland), she has been working at the Polymer Institute in the field of Macromolecular Chemistry since 2006, currently at a position equivalent to Associate Research Professor. She is an expert in molecular biology and biochemistry with focus to biocompatibility and immunocompatibility of newly prepared polymers and biomaterials using cell lines and techniques of molecular biology; peptide synthesis; hydrogel microspheres characterization; hydrogels preparation; microscopic techniques: Raman imaging for characterization of polymers spatial distribution, and confocal laser scanning microscopy.
